Sea Turtle - Large
'Unique'
is overused; however, my hand formed clay Sea Turtles are truly unique. Each turtle starts
with a simple slab of clay. Once the shape is established, more clay is
added to highlight certain areas...shell, then eyes, etc. Decorative
designs are stamped and carved into the body, then it is given
dimensional shape and movement. After the clay dries, it is bisque fired
and then it is meticulously glazed and fired a second time. It is then
ready for you to enjoy for years to come.
Since each
turtle is individually hand formed, no two are exactly alike in design
or color. Each turtle comes with a card describing this process and a
short bio of the artist and care instructions. The turtle is wired to
hang, but can also sit on a table etc. All turtles are signed.
